It is our pleasure to introduce you to Cerissa Douglas, the Principal Interior Designer of Industrious Interiors. During Cerissa’s teenage years, she always desired to decorate her space with beautiful and unique designs. To fuel this passion, she took several creative arts classes, where she could create custom designs that that were personal to her.
In 2001, Cerissa began her studies in Interior Design at the Art Institute of Atlanta. While in college classmates expressed their interest in her decorating their dorm rooms and that took her designing opportunities to another level due to the small space she had to work with and the budget. One of Cerissa’s first classes was Architectural Drafting, and that is when she knew Interior Design was her calling. Over the years, she has developed and enriched her natural talent as a designer.
While in Atlanta, she worked for House of Denmark, contemporary furniture store and was also contracted as a freelance Interior Designer for several projects with other companies. Also, while in San Antonio, Texas, she has worked at Copenhagen Imports, where she has been able to could polish her design craft.
In 2014, Cerissa became an award-winning Designer under the name Address Design! Two of her projects won prizes in their respective categories. In 2015, Address Design became Industrious Interiors, where she is continually being lead and guided into new territory in her business. She is so excited to see what God has for her in the future!
Cerissa is an active allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers, a professional design organization. Through her ASID membership, she takes several continuing education courses every year to further sharpen her knowledge, skills, and abilities within her career.
It is her personal desire to ensure that every project she takes on is stellar; beyond her clients’ expectations. Their joy, excitement and pleasure is her personal definition for success!
